Home BackPackers Hostel it’s a youth hostel located in downtown Valencia, in the Barrio del Carmen (del Carmen neighbourhood), 15 minutes from the train and bus station.

From the airport

There is a metro service between 06.00 and 23.55 from the airport to the city center. In the center you get off at Xàtiva, just in front of the Train Station (Estación del Norte). From there follow our directions from the train station. You can also take a taxi which will cost you approximately between 15 and 20 euros and will take around 15 minutes.

From the train station Valencia Nord

15 minutes walk. At the main exit of Valencia Nord walk straight out of the train station towards Plaza Ayuntamiento. Walk past the fountain (leaving it on your right hand side) until you get to Citibank. Here, take the left street (Avenida Maria Cristina). Keep straight on passing the Central Market on your left and on your right La Lonja. At the end turn right into Calle Bolseria and keep going until you reach a square called Tossal. Just walk straight on and enter a street called San Miguel. On the left you´ll get to a square where you´ll see a church. Home Backpackers Hostel entrance is right next to it in the same building
as the church.

From the train station Joaquin Sorolla

30 minutes walk. 3 options.

1) Outside at the main exit you see a yellow/black bus, which is for free with your train ticket, that takes you to the train station “Valencia Nord”.

2) Or you can walk 15 minutes following the tracks until the train station Valencia Nord. At the main exit of Valencia Nord walk straight out of the train station towards Plaza Ayuntamiento. Walk past the fountain (leaving it on your right hand side) until you get to Citibank. Here, take the left street (Avenida Maria Cristina). Keep straight on passing the Central Market on your left and on your right La Lonja. At the end turn right into Calle Bolseria and keep going until you reach a square called Tossal. Just walk straight on and enter a street called San Miguel. On the left you´ll get to a square where you´ll see a church. Home Backpackers entrance is right next to it in the same building as the church.

3) Outside at the main exit you turn left and you go to the street Calle San Vicente Martir. There you take the bus number 27 until Mercat – San Ferrer. When you go off the bus you see the Central market and you will be at the square Plaza Mercado Central. Go straight ahead and turn right into Calle Bolseria. Keep going until you reach a square called Tossal. Just walk straight on and enter a street called San Miguel. On the left you´ll get to a square where you´ll see a church. Home Backpackers entrance is at the same building as the church is.

From the bus station

10 minutes walking.At the main entrance turn left and follow the bed of the ancient Turia River, now a lovely park. At the first bridge (Puente de las Artes) turn right and pass the park, you will reach the Museum of Contemporary art IVAM, leave it on your left and follow the street called Guillem de Castro, after 300 meters turn left into the street called Pintor Zariñena, after 200 meters you will reach a square called Plaza Vicente Iborra with a church, in the same building is Home Backpackers Hostel.

From the port

Once outside the port, go straight towards Avenida de Francia (5 minutes walk) and catch bus no.19. Get off at Plaza del Ayuntamiento. Walk past the fountain (leaving it on your right hand side) until you get to Citibank. Here, take the left street (Avenida Maria Cristina). Keep straight on passing the Central Market on your left and on your right La Lonja. At the end turn right into Calle Bolseria and keep going until you reach a square called Tossal. Just walk straight on and enter a street called San Miguel. On the left you´ll get to a square where you´ll see a church. Home Backpackers Hostel entrance is right next to it in the same building
as the church.
